Title: Workday Finance Project Manager
Location: Hybrid
Duration: 1 year, with possible extensions

Job Description:

• Serve as the Project Manager for the Finance Sustainment Team to handle the Financial Management area of Workday and other related Workday Finance projects as needed.
• Manage all aspects related to Workday Finance such as maintain project plan, provide status reports, and work with project teams to identify and manage project risks, issues, and change orders.

Obligations
The Workday Finance Project Manager will be responsible for working with external vendors and implementation team to:

• Oversee the Finance portion of the project.
• Establish and maintain agile and waterfall project plans.
• Create, maintain, and manage change orders impacting scope, resources, or budget.
• Provide support and team leadership to have the project staff complete tasks on time.
• Facilitate project planning and check-in meetings.
• Track and communicate project status reports or presentations to stakeholders and executives.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to create impactful reporting on behalf of the organization.
• Document and proactively manage project risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, and dependencies.
• This individual will work with the system office finance, campuses, contractor/vendors and create detailed project plans with milestones.
• This individual will be required to follow policies, guidelines, and procedures.

• Capture and record meeting notes and ensure action items are complete promptly.
• Effectively balance the needs of the client, team, timeline, and solution scope.

Required Skills
Candidates submitted by respondents must have the following skills:

• Two (2) engagements as a project manager
• Five (5) years of project management with Finance projects
• Three (3) years of proven ability to prioritize work in a high-pressure stressful environment

Desired Skills
The following skills are desired for candidates submitted by respondents:

• Three (3) years of experience working in a government and/or public higher education environment specifically as a project manager
• One (1) engagement with ERP systems, such as Workday
• A strong understanding of cash positioning, bank account reconciliation, budget to actuals, cash forecasting, and related treasury processes.

The projected hourly range for this position is $110 to $120.
