Title: Power Platform Specialist
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Month Contract
Job Description:
Responsibilities include:
• Administer and maintain the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Power BI.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into system specifications.
• Creation, optimization, and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and automated workflows in Power BI, Automate, Apps.
• Research and develop an understanding of system administration of new or additional platforms as needed.
• Configure and manage connections, gateways, environments, and data sources.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data within the Power Platform.
• Manage user access, roles, and permissions.
• Liaise with the IT security team for compliance and data governance requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest features and enhancements of the Power Platform.
• Bias for Action: Takes initiative, identifies what needs to be done, and acts without waiting to be asked. Executes work promptly. Suggests improvements to current ways of working.
• Additional duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications Include:
• 3 or more years of proven experience as a Power Platform Administrator, or in a similar role.
• Experience with data modeling, integration, and data governance practices.
• Openness to understanding new platforms, tools, or skills.
• Self-starter attitude and mindset.
• Understanding of Power Platform Microsoft licensing and PowerShell, scripting, and KQL queries.
• Configuration, monitoring, and provisioning of Power Platform.
• Data gateway installation and management.
• Partner with other departments to align systems with organizational objectives.
• Effectively communicate system updates and changes to relevant stakeholders.
• Experience with data governance best practices.
• Routine auditing of user access and data governance.
• Cloud/System administration.
• Working knowledge of row-level security & data encryption.
• Database administration is preferred.
• Understanding of the Power BI service architecture and ability to create Power BI reports dataflows, and dashboards.
• Understanding and experience creating Power Automate flow and Power apps.
• Experience optimizing queries and reports to maintain service health and efficiently use capacity.
• Development experience with SQL, DAX, Power Query, Dataverse, and Azure Analysis Services.
• Understanding of documentation and data dictionaries.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and best practices in data visualization.
The projected hourly range for this position is $86 to $101.
