Job Description: Senior Pharmacy Systems Administrator
Location: 100% Remote
Type: Direct Hire
 
Overview: 
We are seeking an experienced Senior Pharmacy Systems Administrator to join a dynamic team. This role is integral to maintaining and updating a pharmacy application and database, ensuring uninterrupted service and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will be a versatile problem-solver with the ability to manage both back-end and front-end responsibilities effectively.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform regular software updates and coding necessary for database support of pharmacy applications.
• Manage system outages, conduct backups, and oversee recovery processes.
• Resolve synchronization issues and other database-related problems.
• Utilize Unix/Linux for coding purposes.
• Maintain the integrity and performance of the Snowflake database.
• Interface with Pharmacy Data Exchange (PDX) systems as required.
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists, Co-Assist Pharma team, and database teams to support internal and PDX-related databases.
• Rapidly adapt to new projects and product launches using Agile methodologies.
 
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a high-level Systems Administrator within a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and experience with MS SQL Server database.
• Familiarity with the back-end Pharmacy Data Exchange (PDX) systems is required.
• Familiarity with front-end system EPS is required.
• Ability to address both back-end and front-end development tasks.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities.
• Agile methodology experience, particularly with program updates and product launches.
• Must be ready to engage immediately with ongoing projects.
