Position Summary

Business Analyst supporting CRM/Personalization will leverage a unique combination of functional and technical product expertise and delivery implementation experience in Marketing Automation systems and processes to design and deliver the right content, to the right audience, at the right time. The position collaborates with business owners, UX, Creative, developers and vendors, documenting the functional requirements for bringing these experiences to life while ensuring scalable and consistent solutions across businesses.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Create thorough and complete requirements documentation including detailed stories/tasks for developers and QA, with clear acceptance criteria.

• Collaborates to create story and journey maps and feature lists to reflect the intended user experience.

• Work closely with Product Owner to obtain and define requirements through cross-team collaboration, document analysis, business requirements and task and workflow analysis.

• Clearly communicate with broader team, collaborating to groom and refine requirements.

• Understands the direction of the product and features.

• Serves as the primary POC for technical requirements with internal business partners and assists with scoping levels of effort.

• Proactively communicates and collaborates with project team and external clients to analyze information needs and functional requirements, deliver functional and business requirements document, use cases, channel, and interface designs.

• Feels empowered to challenge effort versus value in the name of delivering the features effectively and efficiently. Willing to disagree but commit.

• Willingness to truly understand the ‘why’ and not just the ‘what’ and the ‘how’.

• Work with a variety of internal partners who have varying degrees of technical knowledge

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 5 years of professional experience as a Marketing Automation Business Analyst or equivalent working on email, web, mobile and/or SMS campaigns.

• 2 years of experience working on projects including various programming languages, management tools, testing, and a variety of other analytic program activities.

Preferred Experience

• Strong grasp of current mobile and web technologies, as well as related business issues.

• Experience in data modeling and AI-driven customer decisioning

• Background in CRM.

• Background in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), able to step in and assist Scrum master for Agile process and coaching (backlog grooming, daily scrum, retros, etc).

• History of collaborating with technical and non-technical audiences; able to translate technical material and jargon for a non-technical audience.

• Knowledge of Pega Customer Decision Hub is a plus.
