Jr Cybersecurity Analyst
6 month contract (Estimated: Feb 3 to Aug 1)
Onsite hybrid Minneapolis: 3 days/week, Tuesdays required
Responsibilities:
The Cybersecurity Analyst performs several core functions for the enterprise. The primary responsibility is administering our client’s identity platform and assisting with management of the centralized directory and identify data. In addition, the CS Analyst will assist with the day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions and will also help with the identification, investigation, and resolution of security-related incidents detected by those systems. As part of these functions, this position will monitor and manage policies, standards, procedures, and controls to support security, compliance, and audit requirements.
Work description/deliverables
Identify and Access Management
· Manage user accounts and permissions in the identity and access management system
· Grant or deny access to company resources based on user role and privileges
· Create and manage user groups in the identity and access management system
· Enforce company policies and procedures related to identity and access management
· Monitor user activity in the identity and access management system
· Report on identity and access management system activity
· Identify and address identity and access management issues
· Work with the Information Security peers to resolve identity and access management
Problems
Compliance and Vulnerability Management
· Manage compliance testing and monitoring of current and future regulatory obligations, and
other regulatory matters as required.
· Monitor and manage vulnerability reporting to ensure asset and application vulnerabilities are
addressed in a timely and appropriate manner.
Incident Detection and Response
· Participate in investigations into problematic activity
Mandatory Skills
· High school diploma or GED
· Knowledge of Active Directory and Identity and Access Management concepts
· Knowledge of security concepts and how they apply to IAM
· Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and reporting processes
· Excellent communication skills
· Valid driver’s license
· Reliable vehicle to commute between job site
Desired Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
· Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft O365, ServiceNow or Identity and Access
management applications
· Experience with Sailpoint Identity Now platform
· Experience with vulnerability scanning and reporting tools
