Title: Director of Infrastructure & Support

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Infrastructure & Support to lead and manage our IT infrastructure operations, with a specific focus on vendor management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both infrastructure management and vendor relationship management, particularly within the restaurant industry. The candidate should be a strategic thinker, an effective leader, and capable of driving innovation in technology solutions to support business objectives.
1. Infrastructure Management & Support:
o Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud resources.
o Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the infrastructure to meet current and future business needs.
o Develop and implement best practices for system monitoring, performance optimization, and disaster recovery.
o Manage and develop the corporate and store Service Desk functions, aligning to industry best practices/frameworks such as ITIL.
2. Vendor Compliance and Security:
o Provide technical and thought leadership in the InfoSec space, driving a cohesive strategy that encompasses infrastructure, endpoints, and vendor management.
o Ensure that vendors adhere to security and compliance standards, including data privacy regulations and industry-specific requirements.
o Conduct regular vendor assessments to assess risks and identify areas for improvement.
3. Restaurant Vendor Management:
o With the Vendor Support Manager, ensure support vendors are performing relatively agreed upon SLAs.
o Assist in the review of contracts, service-level agreements, and pricing terms with vendors to optimize cost efficiency and service quality.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and select new vendors that align with business objectives.
4. Team Leadership:
o Led a team of infrastructure engineers, system administrators, and support staff to ensure effective day-to-day operations and project execution.
o Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
o Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.
5. Strategic Planning:
o Develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap that aligns with the company’s growth and innovation objectives.
o Identify emerging technologies and trends relevant to the restaurant industry and assess their potential impact on the business.
6. Budget Management:
o Collaborate with the Finance department to develop and provide ongoing management of the IT Infrastructure & Support budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
o Monitor expenditures and make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives without compromising performance and security.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on network architecture, cloud technologies, and system administration.
• Strong track record (5+ years) of managing vendor relationships, especially within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and security protocols.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, ITIL) are a plus.
