Job Title: Director of Digital Strategy

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Job Description

The Director of Digital Strategy will lead and develop our organization’s digital strategic growth plans and competitive strategy. Oversee creating a long-term strategic plan and associated ideas and content that create awareness, reach target audiences, acquire new guests, and drive incremental guest visits. Identify industry trends and assess competitive marketing programs to ensure relevance and the effective positioning of content and messaging. Inspire and challenge marketing vendors to create innovative and best-in-class digital marketing solutions.

The Director of Digital Strategy has ownership of the planning cycle and process for determining measurements / effectiveness, and is responsible for driving alignment in the organization with respect to developing and voicing a digital marketing strategy and ongoing results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify and understand market opportunities and the digital behavior of the customer to build effective strategies that drive behavior shifts and business outcomes

2. Use research, data, and analytical insights to connect digital strategies across various channels and experiences

3. Build end-to-end solutions and associated budget that is reviewed with company leadership to align on effectiveness and ROI

4. Develop a tracking system that measures the effectiveness of digital marketing with respect to driving subscribers, average monthly users, and incremental sales

5. Organize and help to lead quality assessment, delivery timelines, and implementation efforts to ensure the smooth delivery of marketing programs

6. Lead vendor interactions to develop best-in-class content that includes gamification

7. Ensures effective communication across internal teams and with vendors throughout the planning cycle

8. Develop case study material for internal circulation, showcasing and gaining alignment for effective integrated marketing strategies

Skills and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in advertising, marketing, business, or a similar area

2. 5+ years of experience in leading strategy and delivery for digital marketing

3. Digital marketing knowledge and experience in the QSR industry are preferred

4. Comprehensive knowledge of multiple marketing capabilities, including search, social media, web and app channels, etc.

5. Track record in achieving business goals (KPIs) that directly result from marketing activation

6. Experience with leading vendor engagement for strategy development, planning, and execution, including the review and assessment of KPIs

7. Experience with the implementation and refinement of customer data and marketing automation platforms is preferred

8. Leadership abilities to supervise the planning process with business analysts, marketing leadership, and vendor partners

9. Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast pace environment

10. Ensures effective communication across internal teams with the client, media owners, and agency partners throughout the planning cycle
