Digital Marketing Applications Architect who is looking for a direct hire role in the southwest corner of the Twin Cities.   Successful candidates will be committed to the best of both worlds as they will work in a Hybrid model giving the synergy with the team and yet also remotely to give focus time.

The Application Architect is both a consultative and strategic role within the IT Product Development team that leads in the definition, design, and delivery of diverse software systems based upon documented requirements and our agile development practices.

As a consultant, the Application Architect owns the “How?” portion of the solution delivery by working with Product Owners, Developers, and business stakeholders to help identify and describe one or more methods to approach a business problem and drive measurable business outcomes using a variety of tools at their disposal which includes technology, data, and business processes. The Application Architect will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with other leaders and doers in the organization to ensure the team has the right individuals at the table for input and decision-making at the start of and throughout the project delivery lifecycle.

As a strategist, the Application Architect will be responsible for the output of key project deliverables such as system context diagrams that explain the components, users, and processes involved in a solution, technical design documents that the development teams will use to plan and execute their work, and will work closely with the Product Owners to add important details to user stories or meet with the teams regularly through standups to answer questions, resolve ambiguity, or provide direction in software development lifecycle stages. The Application Architect will define and maintain roadmaps that strategically describe the technology direction within specific disciplines.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:

  •  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent post-secondary education
  •  

Experience:

  •  
  • 10+ years leading in the requirements gathering, technical design, and delivery of software systems and solutions including web applications that leverage CMS, DAM, marketing automation, personalization, analytics, and CRM.
  •  

Systems:

  •  
  • Experience with software development tools such as Jira, Git, and Jenkins.
  •  
  • Experience with web technologies such as Angular, React, .NET, MySQL, and ElasticSearch.
  •  
  • Experience with platforms such as WordPress, Adobe Experience Cloud, and Salesforce.
  •  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and agile software delivery teams to define technology solutions in the domains of digital marketing. Previous experience designing and implementing enterprise web platforms with CMS solutions (WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.), Web Analytics (GTM, Adobe Analytics, etc.), Salesforce (or other CRM systems), Pardot (or other marketing automation platforms) is essential.
  •  
  • Own the solution definition domain by working closely with our Product Owners to map business requirements into solution design. Review solution design with business stakeholders to confirm alignment. Work with Senior Developers and Product Owners to translate solution design into actionable user stories for the team to execute.
  •  
  • Design solutions according to system functional specifications, by applying patterns, best practices, and industry standards. Document these requirements using visual and written methodologies that allow business stakeholders to understand the value stream of the outcomes as well as provide the development team technical context to the work items they will be delivering.

  • Design solutions for websites that leverage personalization, A/B testing, account-based marketing, and other tools that alter user experiences based on user attributes and other collected data.
  •  
  • Design solutions for websites integrated with marketing automation including user activity tracking, prospect scoring, and conversion events that identify marketing qualified leads.
  •  
  • Design solutions for websites that consider compliance and performance factors such as cookie-less conversion tracking, core web vitals, and static site generation is highly desirable.
  •  
  • Strong ability to anticipate and communicate potential problems while determining solutions through written, visual, and verbal communications.
  •  
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, be a divergent thinker, and make educated decisions regarding data and interpersonal issues even when all facts are not known. Must be resourceful in situations where a high level of uncertainty exists, anticipate and identify risks, provide mitigation strategies, and adapt to the adversity and natural evolutions of solution delivery.
  •  
  • Deliver direct communication and leadership to team members, peers, and business stakeholders that informs, educates, and sets expectations throughout the solution delivery process. Excellence in interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and time management skills is a must.
  •  
  • Advise leadership, and other technology and business resources, with ideas regarding how technology processes and tools can be continuously improved. Be the customer go-to expert for any data initiatives acting as the SME and technical reference point.
  •  
  • Be available to provide mentorship and collaborate with development team members on any questions, concerns, or issues they raise about work items they are delivering.
  •  
  • Be comfortable operating alongside on-site as well as distributed delivery teams through a variety of collaboration and communication mechanisms, including remote meeting services, online documentation, platforms, and agile lifecycle management tools for defining and tracking the delivery of business requirements

  • Exploring and communicating new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices, technology advancement, and vendors in Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence, and emerging technology solutions
  •  
  • Keep abreast of AI/ML developments in order to provide sustainable architectural mentorship
