Summary:

Manager is seeking an individual who can come in to help shape the new and growing Data Management Center within the Enterprise Data and Analytics (eDNA) department. This role is anticipated to be contract only for six months, with the possibility of extension.

Position Overview:

Client is building a Data Management Center of Excellence within the Enterprise Data and Analytics (eDNA) department. The vision is to leverage data as an enterprise asset to enable customer-centricity and empower our businesses to drive strategic growth. This position will be responsible for implementing data management capabilities with respect to people and process as the team drives to achieve our vision. This position will collaborate with internal teams, enterprise privacy and security teams, and business area data domain contacts. A successful candidate will have a bias for action, collaborative nature, focus on risk management, passion for data, and possess a continuous improvement and agile mindset.

Responsibilities include but limited to:

– Represent the data management COE to drive implementation of data management capabilities in enterprise data projects incorporating the following functions: privacy and security, access and retrieval, master data management, data quality, and metadata management.

– Develop, implement, and drive awareness of data management standards, procedures, and best practices throughout these projects.

– Participate in implementation of a master data management solution to master channel partner and customer data.

– Document and implement standards, best practices, and data governance practices.

– Document and implement processes including workflow processes with data stewards.

– Participate in development of roadmap for future phases.

– Participate in data quality project to assess current state, draft requirements, document business value, draft and implement standards and processes, and plan and implement data quality tooling.

– Participate in implementation of the enterprise data catalog solution including partnering with data stewards and custodians to develop business glossaries, profiling, scanning, and curating enterprise data.

– Support leader in the development and ongoing maturity of the data management center of excellence, data management program functions and capabilities, data governance activities, metrics and reporting, and other duties as assigned, including providing recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience implementing data management and/or data governance functions in financial services, insurance, or similar industry.

– Strong knowledge and implementation experience around data governance, master data management, data quality, and metadata management.

– Strong communication and collaboration skills, to partner with others and explain processes and results to people at all levels (from executive leadership to individual performers) technical and non-technical.

– Strong work ethic and commitment to bringing projects and issues to closure, driving for results and continuous progress.

– Resilient and agile mindset with the ability to manage change as we build a new team and evolve over time.

– Strong knowledge of data governance framework, industry standards, best practices, and related tools (i.e., Informatica Axon, EDC, CDGC, Data Quality; Reltio MDM).

– Effective prioritization, including the ability to balance accuracy and timelines within the bigger picture.

– Strong organization, attention to detail, and project management skills to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Knowledge of financial services and insurance industries.

– Experience in Informatica data catalog and data quality solutions.

– Experience in Reltio master data management solution.

– Experience in AWS cloud services or equivalent and knowledge of related cloud computing and tools.
