Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Remote 

Working Hours: Team operates in EST and Central Time Zones.

Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst will initially focus on data reporting and automation projects. This role involves working with clinical data systems and requires creating data process flows, user requirements, and design solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead system development and deployment activities, including gathering and documenting user requirements, functional requirements, conceptual design, and logical design
  • Gather user requirements from Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, Data Management, Project Management, and Safety departments.
  • Create user processes or data flows to visualize business process flows, aiding validation activities and technical team understanding.
  • Assist in creating validation deliverables.
  • Ensure stakeholder availability for gathering user requirements within a couple of weeks.
  • Aim for a solution that allows real-time visibility of data and main clinical trial data in the same environment by the end of 2024.
  • Provide escalated technical support for enterprise client areas on existing business systems.
  • Create user stories for multi-disciplinary teams and define business-driven acceptance criteria.
  • Engage technical associates to schedule and execute required tasks.
  • Deliver a potential design and gather estimated technical resource requirements for project completion within 2024.
  • Ensure operational documentation is created and maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Lead system development and deployment activities to enable the autonomous creation of exports or reports for large datasets, such as audit trail exports and field-level monitoring reports.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with clinical data systems.
  • Expertise in writing user requirements.
  • Previous experience building an EDC study.
  • Strong understanding of clinical systems and EDC.
  • Excellent business analysis skills.
  • Technical background with an understanding of architecture.
  • Experience with Azure, SQL, and Mongo databases.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI for database visualization.
  • Familiarity with Polarion (nice to have) for automated workflows and user requirements documentation.
